So, first deviation in forever, and it's a remake of an old pic that you don't even know about. And won't see till I put it in sta.sh. EDIT: Here it is! sta.sh/06dkzah2yfg
Anyway, here's something I've been meaning to remake for a long time. (the original was made 1/5/11 and had Rocket's old design XD)
So, why did I make this?
Here's the story.
I was browsing some old pics with nothing to do when I saw the original. I thought "This is pretty bad, it's probably due for a remake.". Then I thought of the pose, and was like "LEGASPIHAVEANIDEABETTERDRAWITBEFOREIFORGETIT" and then this pic happened.
And while I was drawing I noticed a trend with Rocket pics.

They all have Rocket in it with a starry night background with grass.
I wonder if Rocket was taking like a photo shoot there or something in that specific spot. Because I seriously don't know why I drew so many pictures like that. (The only exceptions I can think of right now are all the other pics with Rocket in them in his section of #Heatherthedragonfans, an abandoned picture with him in space [which in the same pic was going to have Heather in an empty blue room and something involving Jay, a cliff and lightning], and other misc. pictures I have of him on my Spore computer.)
Oh, and this is the second example you're getting of my new style that I never mentioned switching to. The first was my 200th deviation, which I said the style wouldn't stick but it did. I apparently have a habit of saying I won't do something but do it anyway. I have a new head style, new eye style (that is actually different from my first example), new wing style, slightly tweaked back leg style, and, most importantly, ACTUAL TAILS.

Just realized, I left out Rocket's front leg. Just pretend it's angled in JUUUUUUST the right spot that you can't see it XD It's pointed straight down if you wanted to know for some reason.
Oh, and this is kinda unrelated but I LOVE THE ANISTAR CITY THEME FROM POKEMON X AND Y IT REMINDS ME OF PMD
Oh, wait, it is related because that's what I was listening to for most of the time I was drawing this.
Anyway, it's 2:20 AM here at time of writing so I need to get to bed.
